Dartmouth residents and visitors – mark your calendars for a truly special occasion! Join us in Royal Avenue Gardens on Sunday, May 11th from 12PM to 4PM for a vibrant Street Party as we commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day – a momentous day in our nation’s history.

Hosted by the Dartmouth Town Council, this event is a heartfelt tribute to the courage, resilience, and unity shown during the Second World War. It’s a time for the community to come together to remember, reflect, and most of all – celebrate!

What’s in store:

  • 👒 1940s-themed outfits encouraged – break out those vintage looks!

  • 🧺 Bring-your-own picnic – pack your favourites and enjoy them with friends and neighbours

  • 🍺 Bar hosted by Dartmouth Rotary and supported by Bays Brewery – toast to this historic occasion
  • 💃 Dancing, laughter, and community cheer all afternoon long

Whether you’re a lifelong local or just passing through, this event is for everyone. Bring the whole family, round up your friends, and invite your neighbours to join in a fun-filled day of remembrance and joy as we celebrate the spirit of victory.
