FAVOURITE PLACE IN DARTMOUTH?
Nothing beats strolling along the Embankment in either direction and in any weather – I’ll never get tired of it!
TOP TIPPLE?
Hands down a Gin and tonic – love my drink’s fashionable status with boutique distilleries and fancy tonics widely available– I hope to try them all!
MOST TREASURED POSSESSION?
Olli, my beautiful American Cocker spaniel. If a dog doesn’t count than my Cartier watch, but I’d save Olli in a fire first.
BEST BOOK ?
George RR Martins’ A Song of Fire and Ice series – just amazing but will Winds of Winter ever come out?
MUST-SEE MOVIE?
Gone with the Wind – bums on seats still the most popular movie of all time and that doesn’t surprise me!
ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE YOUR 18 YEAR OLD SELF?
Don’t worry so much what other people think of you – relax and be yourself
HOW DID YOU END UP IN DARTMOUTH?
Came here on holiday back in 2014 fell in love with the town and felt very much at home instantly. Almost a year to the day I moved into my house on Victoria Road.
ANY CUTE KIDS OR PAMPERED PETS?
Yes Olli (see above) Linda at the Pet shop will tell you he’s a very well fed doggie.
CREAM FIRST OR JAM FIRST?
I know we’re in Devon but always jamming first!
PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT?
A tie between running my own business for over 20 years and being elected to serve on Dartmouth Town Council.
MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT?
Taking the wrong turn out of a spa in a Japanese Hotel and having to walk across the lobby in my toweling robe- the most excruciating walk of my life!
EAT IN OR DINE OUT ?
I love cooking and I love eating out – it’s a tie
EARLY BIRD OR NIGHT OWL?
In my youth a night owl, now an early bird!
BEST THING ABOUT LIVING IN DARTMOUTH?
The community. Everyone is so friendly I was made to feel very welcome from day one.
WHAT ANNOYS YOU MOST?
Senseless vandalism – we’ve all been young and sometimes bored but I’ve never had the desire to smash things up for the sake of it.
WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?
Walking Olli, hanging out with friends old and new, a productive shopping trip and a good belly laugh.
