Car Parks in Dartmouth

Free parking in Dartmouth

The Old Market Car Park is run by Dartmouth Town Council, please note there is no parking on market days, which are Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

On street parking on the North Embankment is free from the 1st October to 30th April.

Between 1st May to 30th September most on-street parking is limited to one or two hours.

Paid parking in Dartmouth

The Dartmouth Castle TQ6 0JN, has a small car park that is owned by Dartmouth Town Council.

The Mayors Avenue Carpark TQ6 9NF, is a large car park owned by South Hams District Council.

The Park and Ride car park is operated from the top of town next to the Leisure Centre and the new Health and Wellbeing Centre

South Hams District Council Resident Parking Permit

If you are a full time resident of South Hams you can purchase a Resident Parking Permit.
