Careers Fair at Dartmouth Academy

Dear Local Business,
Dartmouth Town Council are organising a new initiative aimed at showcasing the variety of occupations and opportunities that are available to young people locally.
In conjunction with Dartmouth Academy, who are very kindly supplying the facilities and South Devon College who are supporting with their Apprenticeship Team, we are hosting a Careers Fair on Saturday 23rd April.
The event will run all day from 10am – 4.30pm; however, the intention is that the afternoon session, which starts at 1.30pm will be aimed at 17 – 19 year olds in the local community.
This Careers Fair will showcase your business to the young people of Dartmouth from our local schools and colleges. We feel that youngsters are, perhaps, not fully aware of the number of superb employment opportunities which exist on their doorstep and we would therefore like to stimulate their interest and provide the chance for them to engage with local firms and discuss their best route into a career of their choice.
If you feel that your business could be a part of this positive initiative, please indicate your interest by emailing Cllr Andrea Cates on cllrandreacates@dartmouthtowncouncil.gov.uk or talking with the member of the Working Group who has delivered this invitation. You will then be added to our business distribution list which we hold (with permission) and you will then be notified of any business opportunities that arise.
